PIGS

In March 2009, Patrick Home is a lazy journalist with truth issues and a severe Duran Duran habit. As an attempt to revive his career, he takes a chance on a Texan radio host promising him the Big Christian facts on “Pharmageddon”, potentially the biggest news-hit of the summer.

Along with his assistant, the blogger and photographer, Becky Bhu, he is soon in South America, bouncing from violent Argentine football matches to Andean abattoirs in search of the elusive “pigs” that everyone seems so worried about.

After a series of twists and turns involving a rollerblading Frenchman and the newly re-branded League of Nations, the trail of the truth takes them back to North America and to Los Angeles. Here our narrator learns to love a gimp named Candy and is drawn towards an inevitable reunion with his brother George, a record executive with a hot 14 year old superstar in his lap.

The war to determine the new evolutionary paradigm of mankind has begun, Swine Flu is about to go viral and somewhere in the middle are Patrick and Becky, trying to finish the story of a lifetime.
